Prep Time : 5 mins Cooking Time : 10 mins Serves : 1/2 cup Baby food Ingredients: Rice : 2 tsp Moong dal : 1 tsp Ghee : ½ tsp Garlic : 1 clove Cumin seeds : 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder – a generous pinch Hing – a pinch Salt – as needed (salt is not recommended for babies under 1 year of age) Water – ¾ cup Method: 1. wash and soak rice and dal for 30 mins together. Then add all ingredients except ghee in pressure cooker. 2, Mix well, close lid. Pressure cook it for 10 mins or 5-6 whistles on medium heat. 3. Open the cooker once the pressure released. Mash the khichadi well with your hands or with a masher and feed your baby warm. |
