EASY, healthy flour less pancakes, made with only 2 ingredients, ripe bananas and a whole egg for a powerhouse of nutrition all in a quick breakfast! A perfect way to use up those ripe bananas.
The riper the banana the better as they turn out sweet without the need to add sugar. For topping, you can drizzle a little raw honey, pure maple syrup or even great with nut butter. I added cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder and vanilla essence. Because for kids , they love added flavors. If you want can skip and make only with egg and bananas.
if you’re expecting the classic carb filled pancakes then you will be disappointed. The texture of these pancakes is rather dense and moist unlike regular pancakes. If you’re on a paleo, low carb or trying to lose weight, then you will love these.
Here are some tips to get the perfect result each time you make the pancakes.
- Because there’s no flour in the pancakes, there’s nothing holding the pancakes together so be sure to keep the pancakes small ( I use 2 tablespoons of batter per pancake)
- Be careful when flipping the pancakes, it helps to use a thin spatula.
- Add nuts, chocolate chips or any other toppings after the pancake is on the skillet.
Talking about toppings, feel free to add whatever toppings you wish in the pancakes after you’ve poured the batter into the skillet. We find that nuts and/or chocolate chips go really well in these pancakes. A tablespoon of coco or protein powder is another great option if that’s your thing. If not, these pancakes taste seriously good on their own !! I served it without any topping, my kids love and im satisfy that i gave my kids a healthy meal.

Serves : 4-6 small pancake Cuisine : american
Egg : 1 large
Ripe banana : 2
Butter : to grease pan
Nutmeg : a pinch
Vanilla essence : 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder : 1/2 tsp
1.Take bananas in a bowl and mash with a fork. Now add in all ingredients except butter and mix well.
2. Heat a nonstick pan with some butter, make small pancakes. cook till golden.
3. Flip over and cook.
4. Serve with more butter and honey.
