Poondu Paal / Garlic Milk for cold and cough and its benefits

Prep Time : 2mins Cooking time : 10 mins
Serves : 2

Milk/paal : 250 ml
Garlic : 3 nos
Pepper powder : 1 tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
Palm sugar/Honey : 1.5 tsp

1. Peel the garlic and grind the cloves. You can do this with a mortar or something similar. If you prefer, you can chop them into thin slices.
2. Then, add the garlic to the milk. Then put the milk over medium low heat till garlic cook to soft.
3. Then add in pepper, turmeric powder and palm sugar, mix well. allow it to boil for 1 more min.
4. Strain and serve hot.
