Hi friends, this is very simple and tasty chicken leg fried in oven. You can deep fry in oil or shallow fry too. But its good for health, so i fried it on oven. I used non stick cooking oil spray. And the spices that all available in pantry. So you can plan n make it when you like. You can marinate this from 2 hours to overnight. i marinate it for 2 hours only.

My son love chicken drumstick very much. So i often used to do chicken drumstick. Most of the time for him, same method i will prepare and deep fry in oil. This time planned to prepare for three of us. After tasting this, my hubby loved it very much. More than tandoori chicken, he liked this chicken oven fried legs/drumstick.

We are medium spicy level taste. So, i used chilly powder, for color kashmiri chilly powder. If you like to have spicy and hot, can used red chilly and kashmiri chilies too. Soak them in hot water for 1 hour and grind along with other ingredients. Then add this paste to legs, marinate and oven fry it. Ok lets jump into recipe. Here you go.

Chicken leg/Drumstick – oven fried recipe
Easy and tasty chicken drumstick. Kids will love it. You can deep fry in oil or shallow fry it too.

Prep Time : 10 mins    Marination : 2 hour – overnight
Serves : 3                        Cooking time : 40 mins

Chicken drumstick : 6 pieces
Chilly powder : 2 tsp
Kashmiri chilly powder : 2 tsp
Pepper : 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds : 1 tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
Ginger : 1 inch
Garlic : 5-6
Lemon juice : 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil spray/oil as needed

1. Take all ingredients ready. Clean and wash chicken legs. Make a cut here and there in chicken leg pieces. set aside.
2. Take all ingredients, except chicken in a mixer jar. Don’t add water. lemon juice is enough to make a fine and smooth paste.
3. Then apply this paste to chicken leg pieces. allow it to marinate it in fridge for 2 hours or overnight.
4. preheat the oven to 200 degree C/400 degree F. Foil line a baking tray and spray some oil on it.
5. Arrange chicken drumstick leave some space between them . Spray some oil on it. Then place it in oven.
6. Bake it for 20 mins. Flip it over after 20 mins and cook for another 20 mins on other side. 
7. Up to desired texture. And serve with curd/yogurt on top with chilly powder and sliced onion.
