Mutton kheema is minced meat cooked with spices perfect to pair up with rice,idli,dosa ,chapathi or paratha. This is my mom recipes, which she used to prepare this kheema. We love to have with white rice, rasam, sambar, roti or chapatti. This kheema curry is very simple and tasty one. Like to share it now. Please do try and let me know how it turns out for you.

Prep Time : 10       cooking Time : 30 mins

Serves : 4-5

Ingredients:

Kheema/Minced mutton : 1 lb

Onion : 1 small size

Tomato : 1 large

Ginger Garlic Paste : 2 tsp

Sambar powder/podi : 3 tsp

Oil : 2 tbsp

Mustard Seed : 1/2 tsp

Curry Leaves : a spring

Salt to taste

Water as needed (Hot Water is preferred)

Method:

  1. Wash kheema 2 -3 times in cold water. Take it to pressure cooker along with sambar powder, salt and hot water. Mix well, pressure cook it for 20 mins.
  2. On other side, heat oil in kadai. Split mustard seed, saute onion for 3 mins. Then add in ginger garlic paste. Saute it till raw smell leaves.

    3. Now add in chopped tomato, cook till mushy. Then add in cooked mutton kheema, mix well. Cook it till oil separates. Check consistency as required.

    I love to make curry consistency. You can make dry kheema also if you like.IMG_20171031_083651
