Chicken fry tossed in yogurt sauce. This is crunchy and juicy chicken fry. I just try it, my family loved it. Its like a chicken 65 with some modulation. So like to share it with you all.
Mix chicken pieces with flour, egg, red chilly powder, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste and with required salt. Let it sit for 30 mins, fry in hot oil set aside. For tossing, oil, sliced onions, curry leaves, yogurt, chilly powder. Cook it for 2-3 mins, then toss fried chicken well in yogurt sauce. Serve hot and enjoy. Serves : 3-4
Chicken : 350 grams cubed
Flour/maida : 1/4 cup
Egg : 1
Kashmiri chilly powder : 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder : 2 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste : 2 tbsp
Salt as needed
Curry leaves : one spring
Oil for deep fry
To Toss (Yogurt Sauce):
Oil : 2 tbsp
Yogurt : 3 tbsp
Kashmiri chilly powder : 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste : 1 tsp
Onion : 1 small sliced
Salt for yogurt
- Cut Chicken into cubes and wash in water for 2 times. Mix chicken with flour, chilly, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste, egg and salt. Marinate it for 30 mins. Heat oil and fry chicken, set aside.At last fry curry leaves in hot oil set aside.
2. Time to make yogurt sauce, which gives juicy texture to this chicken. Heat oil in pan, i used cast iron pan. Add in sliced onion, fry for 2 mins. Then add in yogurt, red chilly powder, ginger garlic paste with salt. Cook it for 2-3 mins, till raw smell leaves. Then toss well with fried chicken to coat with yogurt sauce. At last add in fried curry leaves, to gives crispy bites to chicken.
Hot, crunchy, juicy and tasty chicken fry ready. Serve it with as your wish with briyani, dal, rasam, etc..
- If you dont have kashmiri chilly powder, you can use red chilly powder too. For color and mild spicy level only, i added kashmiri chilly powder.
