This is a very simple and delicious stir fry made with cauliflower and pepper powder. It can be prepared in a jiffy and needs very less ingredients. It goes very well with rasam, sambar and curd rice.
Serve : 2
Prep Time : 5 mins Cooking Time : 10 mins
Ingredients:
Cauliflower : 1 medium size
Onion : 2 tbsp chopped
Green chilly : 2 slits
Ginger Garlic Paste : 1 tsp
Pepper Powder : 1 tsp (adjust to your spice level)
Salt to taste
Oil : 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds : 1 tsp
Method:
- Wash and cut cauliflower into florets. Bring water to boil, add 1/4 tsp of salt and turmeric powder to it. Add the cauliflower florets, switch off the heat and keep it covered for 4-5 minutes. After 5 minutes, drain the water completely, set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan. crackle cumin seeds, then add in onion and green chilies. Saute it for 2 mins. Add in ginger garlic paste, Cook it for 2 mins.
- Now add in blanched cauliflower florets, pepper powder and salt (sprinkle salt over it) needed. Cook covered until cauliflower brown slightly on the edges or for 5-6 minutes on medium heat stirring in between.
Done. I served it with steamed rice and Tomato Rasam/Bachelor’s Rasam. Simple and tasty combo for lunch.
