Chicken Tawa Fry/Kozhi tawa varuval


This is very simple and easy chicken fry. Can be prepared with less ingredients. Use boneless and skinless chicken for this recipe.  I added bread crumbs for coat chicken. If you dont have bread crumbs, you can coat with pottukadalai /roasted channa dal powder also.  Taste may varies. Try out and let me know how its turn out for you.

Serves : 3- 4    

Prep Time : 10 mins      Cooking Time : 15 mins 


Chicken : 1/2 kg (boneless and Skinless)

Kashmiri Chilly powder : 1 tbsp

Coriander Powder : 1 tbsp

Ginger Garlic Paste : 2 tsp

Lemon juice : 1/2 lemon

Bread Crumbs : 1/2 cup

oil to fry

Salt to taste


  1. Cut and clean chicken with some turmeric powder. Prep all ingredients ready. Mix all together. Allow it to marinate for 2 hours.

2. Take bread crumbs in a bowl. Coat all chickens with bread crumbs. Heat oil in tawa or frying pan, place coat chicken. Fry them on medium heat up to golden brown in color. Flip it over and cook till golden brown color.

  1. If you dont have kashmiri chilly powder, can add red chilly powder with some food color.
