Capsicum |Bell pepper ,so far i have used in sambar, paneer curries and other north Indian side dish but never tried a recipe only with capsicum. This recipe i learnt from my MIL. She used to do this recipe once in a week. Because it is low in calorie and full our tummy. This recipe go with rice, chapatti, variety rice also. Here you go.

Capsicum/Bell pepper : 2 (make it slices)

Onion : 3 tbsp (chopped)

Red chilly powder : 1 tsp

pottukadalai/Roasted gram Powder : 2 tbsp

Salt to taste

Cumin Seeds : 1 tsp

Oil : 2 tbsp


  1. Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds, once sizzled, add onion, saute it for 3mins.

2. Then add capsicum, red chilly powder and salt with some water. stir it well. Cover and cook till capsicum gets soft.20170205_191516.jpg3. At last add roasted gram powder/ pottu kadalai podi, stir it for 2mins. Done
