Seppankizhangu chips/ Arbi Chips / Colocasia Chips

Arbi chips, i tasted it from my friend lunch box. She came from hostel, i got this recipe from her hostel cook. I tried it at my home, me and my sister loved it very much. So here i like to share this recipe. Very flavourful and spicy dish. You can have it as snack as such or as side dish in your meal. Hope you will try and let me know how it turns out.

Serve : 2

Prep Time : 15 mins     Cooking Time : 10 mins each batch

Seppankizhangu : 5

Oil for deep fry

Powder to mix:

Red chilly powder : 1 tsp

Coriander powder : 2 tsp

Garam masala : 1 tsp

  1. In pressure cooker, add lots of water enough to immerse the arbi fully and pressure cook for 1 whistles. You can alternatively boil with lots of water in an open pot too. Either way, take care not to over cook arbi.img-20170206-wa0050

2.  Just enough to peel the skin. Cool down and peel the skin. Slice it into more or less equal thickness rounds.img-20170206-wa00483. Heat oil and add the sliced rounds. Cook both sides until golden and crisp. img-20170206-wa0051
