Coconut chutney is a South Indian Chutney-side-dish and condiment, a speciality common in North Malabar and Coastal Regions of Karnataka. This is a coconut stew mixed with other spices and served with Idli, Dosa, Medu vadai, upma etc.,

Preparation time : 10 mins


Shredded Coconut : 1 cup

Green Chilly : 1

Ginger : 1 inch

salt to taste

water : as needed

To Tempering:

oil : 2 tsp

Mustard Seed : 1 tsp

Urad dal : 1 tsp

Curry Leaves : 5-8 leaves

Method :


Take all ingredients to a jar and grind very smooth. Then transfer to a bowl. And season chutney with tempering ingredients and serve with idly, dosa as your wish.20161217_113954
